Locally sourced glass is used in the manufacturing of Greenpave™ G mix types.
The glass is derived from material originally used as drink bottles. They are cleaned, crushed and graded to meet our stringent specifications. It is then cold injected in to the manufacturing system at one of our facilities to form a uniform blend of binder, reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) aggregates with glass.
This process is no different to the production of normal asphalt, but with the added benefit of utilising recyclable materials.
